Week 11 begins with the New England Patriots visiting the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football and NFL bettors are all over the visiting Pats as 6.5-point favourites. New England is riding a 4-0 streak straight up and against the spread (ATS), while Atlanta has dropped two of its last three.
On Sunday, bettors are putting their faith in two of the most popular and best ATS teams in the league – the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys, who are 7-2 straight up and 8-1 ATS, visit the Kansas City Chiefs. Dallas is 5-0 ATS in its last five as an underdog and has covered in each of its last four on the road.
Meanwhile, Green Bay is seeing better than 80 per cent of point spread bets so far as they get set for a road date in Minnesota as a 2.5-point favourite. The Packers are expected to have quarterback Aaron Rodgers back from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Green Bay is 8-2 overall and 9-1 ATS, while the Vikings are only 1-7 ATS in their last eight home games.
Sunday Night Football features the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the Los Angeles Chargers, a pair of teams that have covered just once in their four. This line opened with the Chargers at -3.5, but that line has since moved to -5.5 with three quarters of the betting public liking the home team.
Tom Brady and the Buccaneers host the New York Giants as 11.5-point favourites, down from -12.5 at the open. Bettors like the G-Men to cover the big number here to close out Week 11.
Savvy hockey bettors know there’s a big difference from a successful regular season team and a team that can go all the way in the Stanley Cup playoffs. That’s why you’ll see a big difference between the NHL President’s Trophy odds and the Stanley Cup odds. The Florida Panthers are currently set as favourites to finish with the most points at +350, followed by the Carolina Hurricanes at +599, the Colorado Avalanche at +649, and the Edmonton Oilers at +749.
Meanwhile, the Avs remain Cup favourites at +559, followed by the Vegas Golden Knights at +768, and the Tampa Bay Lightning at +809.
The Canadian Football League wraps up its regular season this week and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have clearly been the best team so far at 11-2. The Bombers are a massive -111 favourite to win the Grey Cup, followed by the Toronto Argonauts at +500, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at +600, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders at +650.
